Glenn Matlock, Jr. is the Lead Pastor of Community Bible Fellowship (CBF) in El Paso, Illinois, where he has served since September 2021. Glenn has over eight years of experience, having previously served as the Pastor of Ingle Chapel Congregational Church in Milton-Freewater, Oregon, and having supplied interim pulpit supply at various churches over the last decade. He earned a Master of Divinity (M.Div.) in Pastoral Ministries in 2016 from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary. He was subsequently ordained to Pastoral Ministry by Trinity Baptist Church in Walla Walla (Conservative Baptist Association). Glenn is currently a doctoral candidate for a Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) in Apologetics at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (MBTS), having recently earned a Master of Theology (Th.M.) in Practical Theology from MBTS. As a pastor’s son, himself, he has over 26 years of ministry experience, both professionally and as a layperson. He is originally from Northern California, where his father (deceased) served as a senior pastor.  

 

Glenn and his wife, Annette, have been married for nearly 27 years. They have two children Victoria (Tori) and Luke. They reside in El Paso, Illinois.  In addition to pastoring, Glenn previously served as a Senior Resident Engineer at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs at the Walla Walla VA Medical Center Campus and 16 years with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as a Resident Engineer and the Deputy Chief of the Cost Engineering Center of Expertise. He is a skilled teacher, and he has several years of experience in teaching, hands-on instruction, and professional facilitation. Glenn is a graduate of West Point, beginning his career as an Army officer, and later earning two other master’s degrees (Engineering Management and MBA). He enjoys reading, writing, and spending time with his family.
